About the seminar:Children in history and culture

This program compares and examines childhood, past and present, through analysis of education, play, family, age, development, gender, and more. What adults all over the world have in common is that they all experienced childhood. However, despite these commonalities, what we learned as children varies by culture and era. This program explores how film and literature define the identity and role of children, and conversely, what this definition reflects about society.
