How is everyone spending their summer vacation?
We are pleased to report on the “Summer Vacation Courses 2026” held at Otsuma Women’s University!
The Faculty of Comparative Culture hosted two sessions: “Experience Differences in How Colors and Text Appear,” led by Professor Jun Inoue, and “Let’s Draw an *Omikuji* (Fortune Slip),” led by Professor Minoru Sato.
Both courses attracted a large number of participants, mainly elementary school students.
Students from the Faculty of Comparative Culture played an active role, providing explanations and facilitating games!
They offered support to ensure the children could participate and have fun.
Through such community engagement and hands-on activities, the Faculty of Comparative Culture values learning that fosters “non-cognitive skills”—like initiative and cooperativeness—that are essential for the future.
